Particle Accelerator 2024
Particle Accelerator started as a tribute to our friend and son, Jack Young Jr. in 2007. In the years since, it has evolved and grown to so much more. Our 18th Annual Particle Accelerator will be held Saturday June 8, 2024 in Rotary Park in downtown Putnam.
Particle is A Day of Music and Hope. Music brings us together and is an outlet to express our emotions even in our darkest times. There is always hope, and Particle is committed to continuing our mission of erasing the stigma around mental health and raising awareness about local resources available to help.
Outreach and education about depression, mental health and suicide is more important than ever. Will you join us this year?
Your sponsorship and support will still be directed to United Services, northeastern Connecticut’s non-profit Community Behavioral Health Center and provider of an array of mental health, substance use and social service programs. United Services continues to experience significant increases across its programs as it responds to community mental health needs.
Particle Accelerator is a free concert featuring all genres of music for all ages. The annual festival’s goal is to provide information and support for depression and suicide prevention, while promoting music and civic engagement as a healthy alternative to substance use.
Last year, many generous local businesses reached out and sponsored Particle Accelerator. Our live concert was well-attended and reached hundreds of people throughout the day.
